The Safer® Brand Ant and Crawling Insect Killer utilizes diatomaceous earth (AKA silicon dioxide) and a powerful bait formula that kills insects two different ways, by ingestion and/or dehydration within 48 hours. Works indoors and outdoors when kept dry. Comes in a 4 lb. resealable bag for convenience and easy storage. This organic pest control formula is ideal as a bed bug killer or for killing ants, earwigs, cockroaches, silverfish, crickets, fleas, millipedes and centipedes. This product bears the prestigious OMRI®-listed seal as well as the USDA National Organic Program compliant for use in organic gardening seal, certifying this product is organic. Diatomaceous Earth (DE) is a dust-like product that contains the crushed fossilized remains of diatoms. The dust is ingested by the bed bug or other crawling insect, or as the insect crosses through the powder, the DE will cut their exoskeleton, causing them to dehydrate and die. Insects cannot develop a resistance to it since there are no chemicals to which they can build up an immunity. Diatomaceous Earth is effective as a bed bug killer, flea killer, and crawling insect killer. 
But BEWARE.... all Diatomaceous Earth is not the same. Print PDF | - INDOOR USE: Lightly coat a thin layer of duct in the areas where these pests are found or may hide such as cracks and crevices, behind and beneath stoves, refrigerators, sinks, cabinets, garbage cans, around pipes and drains, window frames, and in attics and basements. Hit insects directly where possible. Repeat treatment as necessary.

I read about this powder some months ago about uses for bedbugs. Well my son has been battling those things on and off for 2 years now and I suggested he try this. It has been a wonderful, wonderful powder that has been very effective for the pests. I will recommend this to everyone who has tried expensive pest control companies and found that it was just money down the drain. HOORAY FOR THE NATURAL POWDERS.

This product is the best. I wish you carried it in the stores. I am sure more people would use it. This year has been terrible with ants and I have tried everything. This got rid of the ants that were eating my trees within two days and it is SAFE. That is the best thing, that it contains no chemicals. Highly recommend it.
