Permanent Perimeter/High Tensile (lasts 30-50 years)

ADVANTAGES:

Low Cost:
electric fencing is a cheap fencing option since fewer line posts are needed and you do not have to tie off at every corner as with barbed or woven wire.

Lasts Longer: High-tensile wire has a class 3 coating of zinc, which will not show red rust for up to 50 years in the Northern Hemisphere. All metal accessories used in the fence line carry a class 3 coating or are hot dipped galvanized to insure long life.

Looks Good: High-tensile fencing is aesthetically pleasing, stronger than conventional fencing and will contain any breed of livestock.

High-tensile fencing is a permanent fencing system lasting anywhere from 30-50 years. It contains all types of livestock, and is an excellent deterrent, when electrified, for unwanted predators. It’s more secure, looks neater and lasts longer, with less maintenance than either barbed wire or woven wire.

High-tensile wire fences make efficient use of multiple strands of smooth, 12 1/2 gauge galvanized steel wire with class 3 zinc coating. The wire, when strung and strained to the recommended 250 lb. of tension, withstands up to 1650 lbs. of livestock pressure per strand and low temperature contraction without losing its elasticity.

Fi-Shock manufactures all of the necessary components for high-tensile fencing except the posts and wire which can be found at your local farm or hardware store. We provide an installation manual and video to make the process an easy do-it-yourself fencing project.
