Planning Your Electric Fence
As a recognized leader in the electric fencing industry, Fi-Shock™ is committed to helping you easily and effectively plan, install and maintain your fencing system. Follow these easy steps while designing your system to ensure that you will have everything you need before you begin.
For easy data entry and printout, we recommend you use the Fi-Shock™ Fence Planner  | | Draw Your Layout
Plan your electric fence in advance and pick the components you’ll need to complete the installation. Using a pencil and some graph paper, sketch out the area you wish to enclose, being sure to note distances. Also include the following in your plan: 
- Location of buildings or barns that
will be enclosed by or are adjacent
to your fence - Location of fence charger and
electrical (power) source - Trees or other obstacles
- Location of water supplies
and feeding stations - Low or wet spots
- Entrance or exit points where gates
are needed - Fence termination points
