| »Size of Area What is the size of the area you wish to fence? Will this be measured in acres or miles? The distance will determine the size of electric fence charger you will need. The location of a power source or the lack of a power source will also be important in determining which type of charger is needed. »New Fence or Add to Old Will you be building a new fence or adding to an existing fence? This will determine what components and accessories you will need to build your electric fence. »Soil Quality
What is the quality of your soil? This may seem like a strange question, but we have learned that about 85-90% of the time when there is a problem with an electric fence, the cause can be traced back to an improper grounding system. Take a look at the soil of the area where you are going to build your electric fence. The quality of your soil will determine the type of grounding rod system you will need. If the soil is very sandy or very rocky, it is harder to get a good ground which often means that multiple grounding rods will need to be used. Fi-Shock™ electric fence systems provide safe, secure, superior quality electric fencing for all your animal containment and control needs. |
